Okay. Rant tiem now plz.












Okay, now today I saw that an artist that normally does dog/wolf-type creatures drew a tiger. That's really great and all but the anatomy still needed a lot of work. Now this isn't to say that I don't approve of this artist trying to try something new, because I was actually very glad to see that the artist had. What I DO have a problem with is the fact that so many people said, "OMAHGOSH TTLLY AWSHUM ANATOMEEEEZZZZ~!!!! DESUDESUDESUFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!! *jizzes in pants*" I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW MANY PEOPLE COULD NOT SEE THE BLATANT ERRORS IN THE PIECE. I MEAN, REALLY, IT IS OBVIOUS THAT IT LOOKS LIKE SOME SORT OF TIGER/WOLF HYBRID. JAKFLDJKSJAKFLJDSAKLFJDKSAL. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH. FOR THE LOVE OF TIGERS, WRYYYYYYYYY??????!!!!!!!!!! The artist isn't perfect, and she doesn't pretend to be, but the fans have no sense of anatomy beyond that of a semi-non-retarded wolf. I mean, sure, the coloring is good, but other than the muzzle and "general" shape of the head, there really isn't much tiger-ish about the tiger. I am terribly frustrated that there are people that slave away at writing or proper anatomy or whatever their art is to get it perfect but they go completely unnoticed and are, instead, pushed aside for the favoriting and butt-kissery of an artist who does not yet have their level of skill in a certain area. I have read tiger poetry that blew me away. I have seen portraiture of tigers that just made me want to reach out and touch the picture. I have seen REAL tigers and taken the time to study them, their skeletal structure, and the basics of the flow of motion in their body. None of that was there. NONE. FFFFFFFFFFFF. NO MORE SPARKLE DESU BEFORE I BEAT YOUR FACE IN WITH A RUSTY PIPE. D:< FLIPPIN FANBASE WITH NO SENSE OF ANATOMY. DO THEY NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT THAT IS?! The very concept seems to escape them. I know this has nothing to do with the artist, because the artist did what could be done with the knowledge that was had. That artist also showed a willingness to improve, which I found to be wonderful. The only problem is that that artist will never improve with comments like, "OMG SO PERFECT ANATOMY~! *FAVETIMESABAJILLION*" or "ILOVEIT<3333333333" pasted all the way down the comments section of the picture. MERP. Part of the reason I don't comment all the time is because I don't have anything particularly constructive to say other than I like it, which can easily be stated through faving. ajfkldjaklsfldkas. I'll probably give my own critique on the picture later, but for now... I just need to blow off some steam.
